SBL Hospice Memorial Service
SBL Hospice hosts an annual memorial service filled with stories, readings, remembrance of those we have lost, singing and sharing. It is open to anyone who has experienced a loss.

Memory Day
Memory Day is geared toward children who have experienced the death of a loved one. It focuses on cherished memories children have of special people or pets they have lost in their lives, as well as pay tribute to them. As part of the event, children will have a safe, structured environment to talk about their feelings.

Windows to Heaven
Windows to Heaven is a celebration of life that honors children who have died. Hand-crafted windows line the walls of the Health Center’s chapel and hold more than 200 stars honoring children that have died too soon. The silver stars can be purchased throughout the year for $30 each and are engraved with each child’s name. An annual celebration is held, at which each child is remembered.

Helping Students Grieve
SBL Hospice is aware that children, too, mourn the death of a loved one. They experience the loss and grieve in their own special way. Any drastic change in a child’s life can cause emotional upheaval. SBL Hospice works with staff and counselors in area schools to help provide grief groups and individual counseling for those students in need of help with their grief.
